Your data is everywhere. Its meaning is nowhere.
Trama is a professional services boutique that helps large organisations make sense of their operational data, that is, logs, telemetry and traces scattered across data lakes, object storage and legacy vendor platforms. We help you build the tailored ontology and semantic mapping that turns siloed data into something your teams, and your AI initiatives, can actually use.
Fragmented by economics, not by accident
Every enterprise we work with has the same estate: cold storages nobody can query, vendor-native platforms with their own schemas, API extracts downloaded just to become usable, and more than three data lakes that don’t agree on what a “user” is.
This didn’t happen because anyone was careless. Pricing, retention rules, sovereignty requirements and a decade of tool decisions made distribution the rational outcome. The data will not converge into one place. It doesn’t need to.
What’s missing is not another migration. It’s a common way to understand what the data means, where it lives, and how it connects.
What we do
- 01/Data estate assessment. We map your operational data landscape end to end: every store, stream and API that holds logs, telemetry or traces. What exists, who owns it, what it costs, what it’s actually used for.
- 02/Tailored ontology design. Generic schemas break on contact with a real enterprise. We design an ontology fitted to your organisation: your entities, your identities, your systems, your regulatory constraints. Users, devices, transactions, services are defined once, consistently, across every silo.
- 03/Semantic mapping across silos. We map vendor-specific fields and formats in each of your data lakes and platforms to that shared ontology, so a question asked once means the same thing everywhere.
- 04/Access and governance advisory. Who can reach which data, for what purpose, at what cost. We help you define access models that hold up whether the consumer is an analyst, an internal API or an AI agent, before that question becomes urgent.
